Bridging the Bar: Job Shadowing

Interested in learning more about a legal career in the criminal justice field, but not ready for an internship? Bridging the Bar: Job Shadowing is an educational opportunity for students interested in learning about legal careers in the criminal justice field.

If you are a high school junior or senior, or a college, law school or graduate school student, and you would like to learn more about working in the criminal justice system, come spend the day with one of our assistant state attorneys. On the day of your shadow visit, you will attend court and learn one-on-one from an assigned attorney. If interested, please complete our application and email to [email protected]. We will contact you to schedule your visit. You may be asked to provide proof of enrollment.

Job shadow opportunities are subject to court schedules and are available Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4pm. If you have a pending case with our office, are involved in an active criminal case, or are currently serving a sentence or participating in a diversion program, you will not be eligible to participate.
